Biography:
Studied art history at the University of Neuchâtel (1997-2001), followed by a doctorate at the University of Oxford (2003-2008). Appointed Junior Research Fellow in Art History at University of Oxford (St John’s College, 2007-2011). Research and teaching at the universities of Oxford, Neuchâtel, Geneva, and Lausanne (2018-2024).
Research Interests:
European visual culture and history of collecting in the modern period, especially from the 18th to the early 20th century. Particular focus on France and the UK. Research in the interactions between objects, works of art and space, and the ways in which they are displayed and staged.
