Education and work experience

He studied art history at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (1995-2000). In 2004, he completed his PhD studies defending his dissertation “Patrycjuszowski dom gdański w czasach nowożytnych”. In the years 2009-2012, he was a deputy head and, since 2016, the head of the Institute of Art History, AMU. In 2014, he received his postdoctoral degree publishing a monograph: Ludowość na sprzedaż. Towarzystwo Popierania Przemysłu Ludowego, Cepelia, Instytut Wzornictwa Przemysłowego, (Warszawa 2013).

Research interests

history of residential architecture, history of design, residential culture, handicraft, German-Polish art-historical relations

Teaching experience

Since over a decade, he has been conducting almost all types of courses, including lectures in the history of early modern art, history of handicraft, interior design, design (16^th-21^stc.), and introduction to art history; he organizes domestic and international art trips.

Outreach activities

He undertakes numerous activities popularizing history and monuments of Poznań along with various urban aspects. He cooperates with Poznań City Hall, City Publishing House Posnania, ZAMEK Culture Centre in Poznań, the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw, and Poznań media (radio, TV, press)
